This year's multi-part event features exclusive access to sites across Historic Downtown Athens, followed by a reception & awards presentation featuring live music by The Original Splitz Band at the Morton Building.

Downtown Excursion & Hard Hat Tours

Embark on a journey through the heart of Athens with our exclusive Downtown Excursion! We've curated 8 historic sites and architectural treasures for you to explore. Spend your afternoon (2 - 6 PM) enjoying exclusive access to some of downtown’s most iconic historic buildings at your leisure. 

Elevate your experience by adding on special Hard Hat tours of the Southern Bell Building and the Costa Building, currently under construction. Get a behind-the-scenes glimpse of these downtown landmarks as they come to life before your eyes. With limited availability, these Hard Hat tours are a must for anyone eager to witness history in the making. 

Reception at E.D. Harris Pharmacy

Join us for an elegant evening at the Awards Reception starting at 6 PM! Full Celebration ticketholders will enjoy complimentary wine from The Lark and light fare curated by The Expat, all set in the beautiful E.D. Harris Pharmacy. This iconic establishment, the first African American-owned drugstore in Athens, Georgia, offers a glimpse into history with antique pharmacists' tools and a panoramic view of Athens' Hot Corner. Let's toast to preservation and community in a truly historic setting!

Reception
6:00-7:00 PM - E.D. Harris Pharmacy in the Morton Building
Krista Lark Slater, certified sommelier and proprietor of The Lark Winespace, will be on hand serving wine from 6:00-7:00 pm. Light fare curated by the The Expat. Kindly note that food and drinks are not permitted inside the Theatre and must be finished before leaving the Pharmacy.

Learn about this year's award winning projects as the project leaders are honored. The program will be enhanced with live music from The Original Splitz Band.

Parking:

We recommend parking in the Washington Street Parking Deck ($1 per hour after the first 30 minutes), on the same block as The Morton Theatre, so that your vehicle is nearby at the end of your day.
