This year, Historic Athens’ longest-standing tradition returns to the Boulevard Historic District for the first time in many years, offering guests exclusive access to some of Athens’ most beautiful historic homes, and a celebration of preservation at its finest!
Step inside stunning homes throughout the Boulevard Historic District, each brimming with stories of Athens’ past. During the Gala, you’ll enjoy exclusive access to these remarkable homes and the chance to meet the residents who care for these historic treasures today.
Step aboard trolleys operated by Athens Trolley Tours and travel along routes once traced by Athens’ historic streetcars through the Boulevard Historic District.
As you ride, the Classic City Carolers will fill the neighborhood with music, adding warmth and holiday spirit to your journey through Athens’ past.
Enjoy delicious bites and holiday-inspired treats crafted by Epting Catering, featuring warm and sweet seasonal goodies. Raise a glass at our open bar, featuring wines from The Lark Winespace.

Enjoy the full Historic Athens Holiday Gala experience with a VIP ticket, which includes both the Main Event and the VIP Party. Athens Trolley Tours will provide complimentary trolley service to transport VIP guests from the Main Event to The Athenian
Your evening begins with the Main Event from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM.
Then, your night crescendos into the VIP Party from 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM at The Athenian, Athens’ newest boutique hotel inside the historic Stevens‑Thomas House, proud winner of the 2025 Historic Athens Outstanding Rehabilitation Award!
Originally built around 1850, the Stevens‑Thomas House has been transformed into The Athenian, blending Greek Revival architecture with modern luxury. Inside, guests will find original fireplaces and hardwood floors alongside modern touches like keyless entry and elegant new finishes. The boutique inn’s intimate scale creates a warm, welcoming atmosphere perfect for Historic Athens’ biggest night.
VIP guests will enjoy an open bar featuring specialty cocktails and wines, paired with gourmet bites served in The Athenian’s stylish parlors and on its grand porch.
The evening concludes with a lively auction of unique items and experiences, offering VIP guests the chance to take home something special while supporting Historic Athens.
